Woo Woo! What an incredibly fun week in Grade 3. Stay tuned for some photo and video footage from Titanic Day (4/10). In the meantime, here is a rundown of important dates and events coming up in the coming weeks.
Spring Long Weekend (4/16-4/20)
Moulage Drill (4/21) Earth Day (4/22) MAP testing (4/28-4/30)
Highlights of the Week
-In history, students were separated into wagon trains and given pioneer identities. These are the characters that the students will "be" during their trip from Independence, Missouri to Oregon. It is guaranteed that everyone will face some tough decisions and struggles along the way. Stay tuned...
-In science, students have been learning about oil spills, most notably the oil spill in Prince William Sound. Next week, students will be testing which materials would be ideal to use to clean up an oil spill.
-Thank you for helping your child prepare for his/her Titanic presentation. We can't wait to see them!
Math---equivalent fractions! Spelling--Bossy R and fried words! Writing--possessive nouns!
This is just a friendly reminder to please label your child's clothing with his/her name, ideally using a labelmaker so that it will last.
Looking forward to another exciting week!
