Dearest Parents,
We can't believe how fast this year has flown by! There are two weeks of classes remaining. The third week is a partial week of celebrations and community fun. At this time, we wish to give you a quick run-down on activities, events and special changes to our normal calendar.

We can't believe how fast this year has flown by! There are two weeks of classes remaining. The third week is a partial week of celebrations and community fun. At this time, we wish to give you a quick run-down on activities, events and special changes to our normal calendar.
- All classroom library books are due back no later than Friday, May 16. The summer librarian grinch will charge you for unreturned books. She's a mean one!
- Next week is Keck week. For those of you who are new to our community, we enjoy two days up at the Pebble Beach campus rehearsing for the weekend dance performance. On Wednesday, May 14 we take the bus to PB at 8:15 and return at 2:30. On Thursday, May 15 we have the identical schedule. Aqua Terra will join us at PB, so no worries if you have signed up for lunch. Your child may wear comfortable Stevenson sweats. Please provide the usual snack.
- Monday, May 19 is our field trip to Elkhorn Slough. It is an all day trip. Unfortunately, the boat is not big enough to provide room for parent volunteers, therefor it will be the crew, teachers and explorers only. We will send more information closer to the event.
- Thursday, May 22 we will send home summer homework. Please review the summer expectations with your child (we will do the same). If you have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to call-but call quickly!
- We will be sending out a brief end-of-year comment for all students. We have requested conferences for those families that will require a unique summer plan.
- Friday, May 23 is SPIRIT DAY!!! Dress in Stevenson green and white. Go Pirates!
- Tuesday, May 27 is the last day of academic classes. We will be asking your child to bring in paper bags well in advance of this day in order to carry home a year's worth of fine work. Please be ready, as there will be quite a bit coming to you over the next two weeks!
- Your child will come home on the final day of school with his portfolio. The portfolio highlights the work for which he is most proud or believe shows the most improvement. It's a keeper!
